Nancy Adams joined Martin, Blanck & Associates in August 2005 after a distinguished career as both a military officer, retired in the rank of Major General, and a senior executive service (SES) in the federal government.  Ms. Adams is one of Martin & Associates leading experts on federal health acquisition policies and procedures.  In addition, Ms. Adams brings extensive clinical, administrative, and senior management experience with large, complex government healthcare systems, and has demonstrated expertise and competency as an organizational leader, effective communicator, and resource manager with results that produced performance improvements.  From 1998 through 2002, Adams served as commanding general of Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii, a 266-bed tertiary care medical center employing 3000 personnel with an $245 million annual budget.  Adams led the organization to a perfect 100% score on the survey by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.  She also had responsibility for TRICARE Pacific serving 527,960 beneficiaries in Hawaii and throughout the Pacific region.  Prior to this command, she commanded William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas, a 200-bed tertiary care medical center with 1800 personnel serving 400,000 beneficiaries. Adams served as the Chief of the Army Nurse Corps and Assistant Surgeon General of the Army for Personnel, and commander for the Center for Health Promotion and Preventive Medicine from 1991-1995.  Prior to these leadership positions, she served in a variety of clinical nursing and nursing administration positions in the Army Medical Department and DOD.
